Join Sarah Clark in Standing Against Political Attacks
Friends and supporters,
Recently, blatant lies have circulated about my work on the Seattle School Board. These falsehoods aren't just personal attacks—they represent the toxic culture that has prevented our district from making meaningful progress for students.
Why These Attacks Are Happening
Those who benefit from the current dysfunction are targeting me because I've consistently:
Demanded transparency in district operations
Required evidence for proposed initiatives
Ensured community voices are genuinely heard
Held the district accountable for student outcomes
When you threaten entrenched interests by demanding accountability, attacks follow.
At today's School Board Meeting (May 14), I'll be recommending we formalize our position on key issues through an official vote—exactly the kind of transparent approach I've championed. I hope you can log on. I’d like to also remind you of my commitment to Seattle's Students.
Despite systemic obstacles, I remain dedicated to:
Real equity in action — overcoming barriers and creating access to quality education for historically marginalized communities
Meaningful engagement — bringing a decade of professional experience in community engagement to ensure all stakeholders are heard
Student safety — this is deeply personal. As someone who experienced harm within SPS, I understand firsthand why safe learning environments matter. It took me years to overcome that trauma, and I would never put that burden on another child.
It has never been more clear, that this campaign is about choosing between:
Politics of division and maintaining a broken status quo
Or evidence-based decisions and genuine commitment to all students
Seattle's students deserve better than toxic politics. They deserve leaders focused on results rather than rhetoric, who prioritize student needs over adult agendas.
The timing of these attacks is no coincidence. As more families join our movement for common-sense leadership, those invested in the status quo grow desperate.
Your support sends a powerful message: We won't be distracted while our students' futures hang in the balance.
Together, we can create the educational system our community demands—one that serves every child regardless of background.
